Haleluia, molwch Dduw,
Yn y nefoedd lle mae'n byw;
Trigfan ei sancteiddrwydd glân,
Lle deffrôir y fythol gan.
Uned fry'r ffurfafen gref
Yn y gân a ddechreu'r nef;
A'i dadseinio'n uwch nâ'r sêr
Wnelo seintiau'r byd yn bêr.
Mawl i Dduw trwy'r
ddaear las,
Moliant rhwydd am
wyrthiau'i ras;
Can's mae'n gadarn i iachâu,
Ac yn caru trugarhâu.
Rhodded pob creadur byw
Glodydd glân i'r Arglwydd Dduw;
Canwn oll â llafar dôn,
Haleliwia bêr i'r Iôn.
[Cânwn oll â llafar dôn
Haleluia bêr i'r Iôn:
Rhodded pawb sy'n berchen chwyth
Uchel foliant iddo byth.]
Casgliad o Salmau a Hymnau (Daniel Rees) 1831 Tôn [7777]: Innocents (W H Monk 1823-89) |
Hallelujah, praise ye God,
In heaven where he is living;
The dwelling of his holy sacredness,
Where the everlasting song is awakened.
Let the strong firmament above unite
In the song that heaven begins;
And echo it higher than the stars
Let the saints of the world do sweetly.
Praise to God throughout the
blue-green earth,
Liberal accord for the
miracles of his grace;
Since he is steadfast to save,
And loving to show mercy.
Let every living creature render
Holy praises to the Lord God;
Let us all sing with a loud tune,
Sweet Hallelujah to the Master.
[Let us all sing with a loud tune,
Sweet Hallelujah to the Master;
Let every living creature render
Holy praises to the Lord God.]
tr. 2020 Richard B Gillion |
1 O Praise the Lord in that blest place,
from whence his goodness largely flows;
Praise him in heav'n, where his face
unveiled in perfect glory shows.
2 Praise him for all the mighty acts
which he in our behalf hath done;
His kindness this return exacts,
with which our praise should equal run.
5 Let them, who joyful
hymns compose,
to cymbals set their
songs of praise,
Cymbals of common use, and those
that loudly sound on solemn days.
6 Let all that vital breath enjoy,
the breath he does to them afford
In just returns of praise employ:
let ev'ry creature praise the Lord.
[6 Let all that vital breath enjoy,
the breath he does to them afford
In just returns of praise employ:
let ev'ry creature praise the Lord.]
